  • My style won't be the right match for everyone, and that's okay. I'd rather you find the photographer who feels exactly right than try to be everything to everyone. Photography is an investment, and you should absolutely love what you're investing in. Take some time on my Instagram and website to get a feel for my style and who I am. And if you notice yourself willing to compromise on what you actually want just to work with me, that's a sign I'm probably not your person. (For example: if you'd really prefer a quick session for a couple of solid photos, there's a photographer out there who specializes in exactly that, and you deserve them.)

  • If you feel connected to my work, the first step is to fill out my contact form. From there, I'll send over a short questionnaire so we can both get a feel for whether we're a good match. Once I have a sense of what you're looking for, I'll follow up with my current pricing guide, which walks through my process and investment.

  • Today! If you are waiting for the perfect age or for any other reason, then you are going to be missing out on documenting special memories. Don't wait. Now is always the best time.

  • If you've spent any time with my portfolio, you've probably noticed I'm an outdoor photographer at heart; it's where most of my sessions take place. There's so much nature brings to an image: movement, layered textures and tones, a sense of calm, a sense of adventure. It also gives kids endless ways to play, explore, and connect with you. In-home sessions are something I take on occasionally, but I save most of them for newborns. If we do shoot indoors, I'll need a space with plenty of natural window light and at least one room with light or neutral walls.

  • I'm drawn to timeless portraits; the kind that feel just as meaningful in twenty years as they do today. So, I tend to steer away from trends and toward beautiful, natural moments. When it comes to props, I love what nature already offers: a good climbing rock that brings a child up to your eye level, a flower tucked behind an ear, a stone fountain to search for pennies in. For that reason, I forgo the use of any traditional props.

  • Depends on the season, however anywhere between 2-4 weeks. A specific time frame will be communicated with you at the time of your booking.

  • I keep my sessions to just the people being photographed. Presence is a big part of how I work, and the more openly you can settle into the session, without an audience or anyone trying to wrangle smiles, the more honest the photos become. I'm not a "say cheese, look at the camera" photographer, so there's really no need for an extra set of hands to help with that.
